Something I've loved to do for years now is make my own sea salt/sugar srubs and bath salts. These make a great 'homemade' holiday gift for very little money, places like Hobby Lobby
have the perfect jars for only a few dollars or re-use a jar you have at home. Then use your home printer to print off a label w/instructions and ingredients. Salt baths are a great way to get some personal time, relax and de-stress.
For Detoxifying, alkalizing, relaxing and beautifying Bath salt soak; if your 'into' essential oils you can use any blends that you like, my favorite combination is this:
1 cup organic sea salt (or any sea salt from your health food or grocery store. YES, only sea salt. *(Careful epsome salts with very low blood pressure, careful sea salt of baking soda with very high blood pressure)
1 cup baking soda. Any kind will do. *(see below)
I use only top quality essential oils from Nature's Sunshine Products or Young Living Oils. You will be able to tell the diffence if you use a cheap grade oil. To recieve a member's discount up to 30% off, use this link http://www.naturessunshine.com/us/shop/ and member # 2192281 and password 6736
5- 10 drops tea tree oil
2 - 5 drops lavendar
5 drops geranium
2 - 5 drops frankincense
2 - 5 drops grapefruit
Put your essential oils in the sea salt before adding to your bath. Add the salts to the bath right before you get in to soak.
(click picture to go to product) To relax soar and/or swollen feet rub in a natural sports cream to your feel, especially around the ball and tops of the feet. I prefer Tei Fu Lotion, it's a must have around our house and massage studio.
***If making your own blend citrus oils: no more than 5 drops to your tub
